Happy Birthday to Ginger!

Yesterday we celebrated a birthday in our house. Ginger turned 10 years old! It's so hard to believe that it has been that long since she was born. We had a quiet family celebration.

Our happy birthday girl!

I baked her favorite cake (chocolate-chocolate) and she and Gracelyn frosted it (fudge-chocolate). Instead of the usual 'toy' topper this year I chose something a bit more grown-up and something that was on her birthday wish list - a whisk and measuring spoons in pink! She was so happy to get these. There were also some pink measuring cups but there was just no way to get them onto the cake.

Happy Birthday Ginger - we're glad you were born!

I love that cake idea. How fun. Happy Birthday little gal. Also, I am back to blogging if you ever want to pop in. By the way do you homeschool? If so, what curriculum do you use.

Happy Birthday Ginger!!!

Let me see...when I was 10 it was 1981. Jimmy Carter was president for just a few days, then Ronald Reagan. Lady Diana married Prince Charles...I remember watching the wedding on TV! It was a big to do. They found the Titanic the year I turned 10. Cookie Crisp cereal was popular then & I loved it! Dukes of Hazzard, Little House on the Prairie, & Alice were some of my favorite TV shows. I was in the 5th grade & my favorite teacher was Miss. Willham.....she was my science teacher. I loved her class! Well thats about all I can remember. Ginger, write some things down that are important to you right now. Write about your bithday cake and your life at 10 years old. Give the note to your mom & let her keep it until you are 20 years old. Then read it & see how much things have changed.

Happy Birthday!!! And many more!
